Our International Operations segment currently consists of our European subsidiary ("PMI Europe"), which is no longer writing new business. PMI Europe offered mortgage insurance and mortgage credit enhancement products tailored primarily to the European mortgage markets and discontinued writing new business in 2008. The Company wrote mortgage insurance in Canada ("PMI Canada") in 2007 and 2008 and completed the sale of its Canadian operations in 2012.
PMI Plaza is a seven-story office building with an adjoining five-story parking garage with retail tenants on the first floor. This steel-and-concrete building was completed in 2002 and was built with the newest mechanical and fire/life safety equipment available. The building also has a state-of-the-art solar electric system that can generate 70,000 watts of electricity during the peak sunshine hours, making PMI Plaza the largest commercial solar-electric system in the East Bay. Since 2007, PMI Plaza has complies with all local environmental regulatory requirements, taken numerous action to conserve resources and worked diligently to protect the environment, which has earned the PMI Plaza the designation of a “Green Business”.
